This model is a 3D export and modification of an STL file created from a 3D scan of the statue “Sphinx” located in the Schlossgarten Belvedere in Vienna, Austria.
The original 3D scan was downloaded from threedscans.com and has been cleaned and optimized for 3D printing.

The statue, carved in the first quarter of the 18th century, is made of lime sandstone and represents a classical sphinx — a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a woman.
It is one of the many baroque sculptures that adorn the gardens of the Belvedere Palace, an important example of Vienna’s artistic and cultural heritage.
