Description
This is a re-designed agitator for the Echo RB60 spreader. The agitator wings are wider and lower, allowing it to fully push all remaining fertilizer out of the hopper. Other minor design changes have been made to make the design more 3D printable.
I recommend printing it out of ABS, ASA, or PETG, but the material selection isn't particularly important. PLA would probably work fine.
To install it, perform the following steps:
- Remove the 3 bolts connecting the bucket to the frame. Note that one of these bolts also connects a metal leaf spring to the frame. Take a picture for reference if you want to.
- Slide the hexagonal shaft out of the bottom of the stock agitator
- Pull the stock agitator out of the bucket. You may need to squeeze the tabs down to allow it to slide out of the hole easier.
- Snap the new agitator in.
- Slide the hexagonal shaft back into the bottom of the new agitator.
- Screw the 3 bolts back in through the bucket and frame, taking care to also connect the leaf spring back as it was before.
- Test that the agitator spins when pushing the spreader and does not rub or stick.
