Ok, so I have had a really unfortunate experience with this and feel compelled to share, even if just as a cautionary tale for fellow creators of parametric models.
I have always uploaded my .scad files openly. I'm of the opinion that it's better to share knowledge. Even though I'm nowhere near an expert, I'm happy if I can help somebody learn something, or serve as inspiration. I would say that it is a sentiment shared by all of the community.
However, I have recently seen a direct ripoff of my model uploaded as original work. The "new" model does have different customization options, but the core is EXACTLY the same - other than a watermark (which I don't add because I find it tacky).
This is not speculation - I have concrete proof. And that even though there are A LOT of things that could be done in different ways. Hell, I would have, if I had the "correct" idea from the get go. The current code is the result of a lot of iteration and experimenting - and it shows.
Now the "inspired" model has been entered into this same contest. Which, frankly, adds insult to the injury.
To be clear, I'm perfectly OK with somebody making his own version of anything I make. It's natural for a maker to see something and think "I could do that / I could improve on that". That keeps the hobby alive.
But - at least make an honest effort to create your own version. And, of course, don't claim it is yours. There are mechanisms to contribute your additions to established models (remixes, profile uploading, etc) without ripping off the work of others.
I have recently learned that the SCAD code can be hidden, and sadly have made the choice to hide it in all my models for the time being. And would advise you all to do the same.

I have been eyeing contests for a while, but @mafagrafos 's #parametrichomedecor contest has been the one that finally motivated me to enter!
I'm entering with a streamlined version of a more generic model I made - a pen holder specifically tailored to Ohuhu, Copic and similar markers, with a modified honeycomb pattern that "squares the circle": It uses space very efficiently, but is also comfortable for the artist when picking up and reinserting the pens. It takes quite a bit of time to print, but the end result is worth it - I promise! You can always make a smaller holder to test it out, then go all in once you're convinced :)
I'm attaching a photo of my wife's art station, made up of 4 holders. They are not glued together horizontally, but they fit together neatly - and are easier to move around and store that way. Plus they look stunning when out!
I hope you all like it and look forward to all comments. Many thanks to @mafagrafos for hosting - I'm impressed and inspired by the entries already!

This is an intrusive idea that just wouldn't let me go until I made it - and it is surprisingly fun. Check it out!

This model is really cool! You'll need a lot of patience to remove the supports (I felt more nervous than if Mongo had been alive 🤪) but it's well worth it.

This profile works great and has an important advantage: it does not require PLA support material. (The designer profiles are specifically created to use PLA support and probably won't print correctly as is if you don't use it, as the support settings must be different).
There are quite a bit of supports in the base, but they come off reasonably easily. I'm happy with the results.

Neat model! Note that joints are a bit hit and miss when posing, but they hold fine once set.
