A few years ago, I lived on Koekoekstraat in Utrecht, right next to cafe Focus. In our shared hallway, there was a door that led straight into the pub’s kitchen. I could just walk in. Every time someone in the pub went to the restroom, they could hear my printer working away. Naturally, this sparked curiosity, people wanted to know what I was printing. That’s how I eventually got the idea to create something special for the pub’s owner—who also happened to be my neighbor.
