“Splash” - 3D Wall Art
This captivating wall art piece creates a mesmerizing 3D effect with its dynamic arrangement of triangular shapes. The overall design evokes a sense of energy and fluidity, making it a striking focal point for any space.
This larger scale wall art measures 45cm x 35cm and consists of 252 pyramids, and is printed using 5 colours of your liking.
Each piece is numbered on the bottom, adjoining pieces of the same colour are printed as a single object.
Piece #1 forms the bottom left, #18 the bottom right, #235 the top left, and #252 the top right.
Suggest you test fit all the pieces first, then simply glue them onto a suitable backing (picture frame, plywood, etc.) using all-purpose adhesive.
Fits nicely in a large IKEA Ribba frame, with room for a border/mount.
Designed in OpenSCAD.
Printing offset pyramids is notoriously tricky, so some plates have ‘cooling towers’ to help prevent ‘blobbing’ on the tips of the taller pyramids.
If you find the surface quality of the more shallow-angled pyramids isn't ideal, try to print more slowly.
