Description

Tardis Light Switch

This Model serves as a cover for a boring standard light switch. It does not replace the light switch but rather sits on top of it. This avoids any nasty buisness with the electricity. By pressing on the two hinged panels, the switches below are pressed as well.

The inner dimensions of the box are 153mm x 81.5 mm.

I've included two versions of the switches. One with a cutout to insert a 2 mm rod (as pictured above), which is much more durable and another version with two studs on the side. I dont really know how stable these studs are going to be, so I recommend the 2mm rod.

Just insert the rods/switches between the two parts of the main body and glue the two parts of the body together.

I used doublesided tape to fix the model to the switch and wall.

I printed the box in mostly white and painted it because I didn't have any blue filament.
