Caterpillar

Description
Appearance Structure
1. Head Module
The overall rounded, spherical head is integrally molded with carved eyes and a two-hole mouth, with no additional splicing parts. The soft lines recreate the caterpillar's adorable look, and it connects to the first body segment with an embedded swivel joint, allowing it to swing slightly up and down independently.
2. Segmented Torso Joints
The entire body is composed of multiple sets of equally long polygonal blocks connected in series, with each segment unit being a symmetrical flat block; each segment has built-in interlocking convex and concave hinge buckles at both ends, with matching circular limiting studs on the sides. Adjacent modules snap together to form a movable hinge structure, requiring no screws or assembly, and providing articulated joints immediately after printing.
3. Tail Module
The last segment of the torso extends into an integrally bent, hooked tail, with a narrowing curved shape at the end, seamlessly integrated with the final torso segment. It can bend and shape synchronously with the entire body of the worm.
4. Overall Linkage Structure
All torso joints limit each other, supporting bending, curling, and straightening at any angle. It can assume various poses such as arched bends, circular coils, and straight extensions; the entire model is Print in Place, with no separate parts. Small support points are included at the bottom during printing, allowing for free movement after removing the supports.
Printing Process Compatibility
Recommended PLA/PETG filament. Print flat on the build plate, with only minimal support for the head and bottom. Clear layer lines can retain texture; the internal hinge clearance is reasonably set, ensuring no sticking after printing, and smooth play without easy loosening or breakage.
