Description
After accidentally breaking the paper shade of my IKEA HÖLMÖ floor lamp, I decided to give it a second life — by turning it into a table lamp!
No tools needed: I simply shortened the original lamp base and added my own 3D-printed lampshade on top.
The result is a completely new design that still uses the HÖLMÖ base, but feels like a completely new lamp.
It fits perfectly on the HÖLMÖ lamp base, but you can also use it with any standard E27 socket.
The infill pattern gives the lamp its unique character — softly scattering the light for a beautiful, even glow effect.
With the fuzzy skin texture, the surface almost looks woven or textile-like, giving it a warm and handcrafted touch.
Yes, it takes about 514 g of filament, but every gram is absolutely worth it — it looks and feels more unique than any store-bought lampshade.
I printed mine in matte white Bambu Lab PLA, which produces a clean, soft light that complements any modern interior.
