We used Rosewood and Birch filaments and the stand came out beautiful! Unfortunately, we weren't able to use it for the purpose we wanted. There is not much of a bottom lip, so you are limited to a thinner frame. We have two 12" square frames for Hueforge prints. One is 12mm (.5") thick and the other is 20mm (.8") thick. Neither frame sits down into the curve behind the front lip, the top of the frame tips backward and the bottom of the frame slides forward and up over the front lip of the stand. They will sit on the stand, but would slide off with the slightest bump. Overall, it is a beautiful design; I love the bulk of the photo stand. Many stands are too flimsy. ... However if you were considering a V2 of the design, it would be great if the bottom curve/trough was a little deeper with a taller front edge/lip so it is able to catch the front of deeper frames to keep them upright and in place. That would make it ideal for slightly larger frames. Thanks!
