I created this replacement handle after the original handle on my Mainstays can opener broke. Instead of throwing the can opener away, I decided to model and print a replacement in FreeCAD. The original handle was attached to the cutting mechanism using a knurled axle that pressed tightly into the plastic handle. To recreate that grip, I designed the replacement handle with an undersized opening so it can be hammered onto the axle for a secure friction fit. The original FreeCAD source file.
