#Sharing Tips Mitigating Elephant Foot!
Elephant foot occurs at the base layer of a print when the first layer or two overextrude and don't match the width of the rest of the print. While printers today (especially Bambu) are great about preventing this with finely tuned extrusion settings, they can still be a pain for prints that require higher tolerances.
You can mitigate this effect by simply adding a 45-degree chamfer to the base of your print. a 0.5mm chamfer is often all you need!

pro tip: you can mitigate elephant foot on your prints (and also make them slightly easier to remove) by adding a small chamfer to the bottom face of your model
