I learned CAD in college and started my career in a precision machining center. My career has taken me out of the factory, so 3D modeling and printing are now hobbies for me.

Printed Harry’s wand. The model was well detailed, but I kept having issues where the wand would flex in the last half inch or so causing poor print quality at the tip. Happened on multiple print attempts. Probably a tough issue to solve given the nature of a wand. It is just a very thin part stretching way out from the base. That said, my 7yo, who recently started reading the books, loves it!

I scaled the model down to 80%, which may have affected the supports. I found them difficult to remove, particularly around his feet, which probably didn’t need support in the first place.
