Hello Community, I want to share a little story behind DragonFly, my entry for this contest. Like many Creators here, my biggest inspiration comes from my own children — their curiosity, endless questions, and desire to explore the world around them. I still remember how flying models fascinated me as a child and eventually inspired me to build an aviation career. Today, kids have many more opportunities than we had 20–30 years ago, but I still believe that a simple flying model can spark the same sense of wonder. DragonFly was designed as a simple free-flight biplane that is fun not only to fly, but also to assemble, adjust, and experiment with. Small changes in the setup can noticeably affect the flight, encouraging children to ask questions and discover basic principles of aerodynamics and physics on their own. DragonFly became a biplane because I've always found something special in that shape. Like a dragonfly, it immediately looks alive and ready to fly. Even people who know nothing about aviation often stop for a moment when they see a classic biplane silhouette. My goal is not only to create toys, but to create experiences that inspire curiosity and learning. I hope that through building, modifying, and flying these models, children can better understand the world around them and develop an interest in science, engineering, and technology. I wanted to push this idea a bit further with my START model: a clean print-in-place glider with attention to layer direction, stiffness, and real flight behavior. No assembly. Dear Friends and fellow aviation enthusiasts, I feel it’s the right moment to take a little step back and say thank you — to this wonderful community of curious, creative minds who’ve followed, supported, and engaged with my work. Your enthusiasm for my models — and for aviation in general — has meant more than I could have imagined. When I first started my journey into 3D printing last October, I never thought my modest creative experiments would resonate with so many people. Thank you all for your support, your constructive feedback, and your kind encouragement. Because of you, I’ve been able to expand my creative horizons — and I truly hope to bring more of these ideas to life soon. Some are simple, others a bit unusual or unexpected. But of course, they all have one thing in common: aviation. Why aviation? Simply because I love it. And, it seems, it’s what I’m meant to do. 🚀 Just released my new airplane WeeFly, designed for the PowerUp 4.0 module! I put a lot of effort into making this model as simple and quick to print as possible — but honestly, I had a ton of fun along the way. Now, flying it on calm summer weekends has become one of my favorite little escapes. It prints in just 2.5 hours, flies great even in small open spaces, and is super fun to control. I’m excited to introduce the new mini airplane model — Sparrow! 🐦 After extensive testing and experimenting with shapes and balance, I created a simple yet flyable wind-up model. It glides smoothly, launches easily, and is perfect for both indoor and outdoor fun. Plus, Sparrow can also fly as a glider with a freely spinning propeller — my child absolutely loves it! The parts are fully compatible with the Swallow model. Give it a try!

✈️ Albatross updated! After months of testing, the model now features a longer tail boom and larger tail surfaces, improving stability and control. Strength issues have been addressed, and the center of gravity is now easier to adjust, making setup more straightforward. Albatross remains easy to trim, modular, and transport-friendly. If you’ve flown the original version, this update is definitely worth trying. If not — now’s the perfect time to give it a go!
