Simple laser cut jig to allow quick and precise adjustment of laser cutter bed height for focusing. Place the focusing jig on the laser head, and jog the Z axis until the jig "falls off". FreeCAD file edited to suit my requirements based on a design provided by Morgan Wable of HackPGH in Pittsburgh.

You can also increase or decrease the length of the pegs FreeCAD file edited to suit my requirements based on a design provided by Morgan Wable of HackPGH in Pittsburgh.

I redesigned the face and tail section from the ground up to allow for roll tube diameter variations. To accommodate different roll tube diameters, I use four pieces of 1.75 mm dia printer filament which act as springs and push against the inner cardboard tube - see the photos. By making the spring pieces longer or shorter, you can adjust how they fit the cardboard tubes. If you find PLA spring pieces too hard, then try more flexible filaments such as TPU.

My friend Kevin sent me a couple of flexible LED strings, so I designed a pair of finger rings for my wife. It's a great party conversation starter. The design is based on a 300 mm long flexible "rope/string" type LED. The 3D printed ring has an inner diameter of 19 mm (0.748"), which is close to US / Canada ring size 9. Inner circumference is 59.66 mm (2.35"). Pretty much everything is published here, but there's also the repo on Github at https://github.com/wyolum/LED_finger_ring/wiki
