Description

A simple threaded container perfect for holding small items and throwing in a backpack, or displaying as a desk container with the included stand!

Spheres are challenging to print, so I spent many iterations tuning the design and print profile. I ended up with a model that uses only a few custom supports and prints easily. Simply press the four support sections inwards and they should break off cleanly.

Great print. So impressed by the supports for the external threads.

Hi, I'll just awkwardly ask: Can you also create something like this as a flower plug? I've already searched in the Lab to make it myself, but I can't find anything... attached are pictures as a template - 1000 THANKS - a newbie

I find the balls great! I scaled the balls slightly so that they have a diameter of 57mm to fit through a printed surprise ball dispenser. The support on the thread allows them to detach perfectly and the parts fit together perfectly

These came out great. The supports are really simple to remove and they come out really clean. I printed this one on my A1mini with Bambu lab Matte PLA. This one is slightly resized to fit my new gashapon machine. They can be hard to screw in at first but once you screw it in and out a few times they work like a dream.

Nice result. I love the texture of the ball. The first time it opens and closes a bit stiffly, but after that very smoothly, without problems. for my purpose just a little too long lasting print and consumes too much material....

Hello. This is a fantastic design - perhaps the best sphere-shaped container I've seen. Thanks for posting this. However, is there any chance you could re-design the wave lines so that they align uniformly across the 2 halves? It will hide the opening seam better, I think. Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback! I mirrored the spiral pattern on this design, so it does look like two separate spirals. I see what you mean, it would look nice with one continuous spiral. I may update it if I get a chance.

Yeah I originally tried both standard and tree supports for that outer edge, but couldn't get a smooth and consistent supported surface. The custom supports make a surprisingly smooth surface and are really easy to remove.
