Description
for the Aquascope, a transparent plastic sheet / plexiglass (polystyrene, polycarbonate, ... ) is needed, which can be adhered
I used the following materials:
Polystyrene sheet 2mm (the sheet can also be chosen thicker)
3D printing superglue (Kraftprotz - 3D printing)
Aquascope printed from PETG
Processing steps:
- Print Aquascope and template in the desired size
- Using the template, mark the diameter on the sheet. It is recommended to leave the protective film on the sheet when marking and sawing to prevent scratches during processing.
- Saw out the disc (e.g. jigsaw with plastic blade or similar)
Note: The template was designed with a diameter 0.5mm smaller so that you can saw along the line and the disc fits into the Aquascope - Before gluing, test if the disc fits
- Apply adhesive to the Aquascope, insert the disc and press firmly → spread adhesive over the entire contact surface to prevent water from entering.
- Allow adhesive to cure / dry
Info:

4mm offset: if the disc is 2mm or 3mm thick, the disc is slightly recessed and a little protected when the Aquascope is put down.
