Clay Scratch Tool

This scriber tool is designed for precise texturing and detailing in clay and ceramics. The needle is permanently mounted with glue in the central hole, so pay attention to the needle’s diameter relative to the hole. Due to filament shrinkage and printer tolerances, a small X‑Y hole compensation is recommended to ensure the needle can be inserted without breaking or fitting too tightly.

Assembly instructions

1. Measure the needle’s diameter with calipers.
2. Adjust the X‑Y hole compensation in your slicer if necessary, and print a test.
3. Clean the hole and the needle of dust and oil.
4. Apply a small amount of glue inside the hole or on the needle shaft.
5. Insert the needle straight and hold it in place 
6. Allow the glue to fully cure before use.
