Description
Hello, this is my take on the popular filter media. When I first came across it over 20 years ago, it was being used in home water purification systems.
I've now made a large quantity of it to use in my SunSun 304 canister filter, and from my experience it performs much better than all the pebbles and other media I've purchased over the years. The colonizable surface area for beneficial bacteria is enormous relative to its volume. Do not fill the baskets more than halfway, to allow for water flow and to support the growth and self-renewal of the bacterial colony.
Print in PETG or similar aquarium safe material.
