Description

Boost Me (for free)

A little Boost is always welcome: it gives a boost to new projects! But if you can't even just a Like, or better yet a Follow, really makes a difference. Thank you so much for your support!

In many workshops the same problem always appears: wrenches disappear exactly when you need them.
Instead of searching for the correct tool every time, I designed a compact multi-size wrench that combines the most commonly used metric sizes in a single 3D printed tool.

This wrench includes six of the most frequently used metric sizes:

8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 17 mm

These dimensions were chosen because they cover a large portion of everyday hardware used in:

  • general workshop work
  • automotive repairs
  • furniture assembly
  • DIY mechanical projects

Why these sizes?

The selected sizes correspond to very common bolt standards:

Wrench SizeTypical Bolt
8 mmM5
10 mmM6
12 mmM8 (common in automotive and JIS standard)
13 mmM8 (ISO standard)
14 mmM9
17 mmM10

Including both 12 mm and 13 mm is particularly useful because many automotive components use different standards for M8 bolts.

Design Goals

The wrench was designed to be:

  • compact
  • strong enough for light mechanical work
  • easy to print
  • convenient to keep multiple copies around the workshop

By printing several of these tools and leaving them around the workspace, you will almost always have the correct size nearby.

Specifications

  • Length: 165 mm
  • Thickness: 5 mm
  • Material: PETG
  • Sizes: 8 / 10 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 17 mm
  • Type: Multi-size metric wrench

Printing Settings

Recommended settings:

  • Material: PETG
  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Walls: 4 perimeters
  • Infill: 30% gyroid
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm

PETG offers a good balance between strength, flexibility and durability, making it suitable for light-duty workshop use.

Tip

Printing several copies and placing them around your workshop or toolbox ensures you always have a wrench available when needed.
