Recently, I printed a practical little gadget for the kids at home—a small shovel ⛏️
It can be used for digging sand and mud, I've tested it, it's not just a decorative item.
I took it to the garden and tried it; loosening soil and digging holes were quite easy. It's perfectly fine for kids to play with on the beach.
When designing, I specifically considered the fixing method; it can be fastened tightly without glue, and it won't wobble after assembly.
This is really hassle-free; before, some things I printed always had to wait for the glue to dry, but this one can be used right after assembly.
100% print success rate, I printed it out in one go, no failures.
Used ordinary supports, and after removal, the surface was clean and tidy, just a little trimming of the edges and it's ready to play.
The size is just right, both adults and children can grip it, and I tried it, the feel is quite good.
I'm going to print another one to keep in the car, ready to take out and play at the beach anytime 🏖️
The joy of 3D printing is probably being able to create any practical little tool you want yourself ✌️
