Description

Parametric Differential Hypocycloid Reducer Generator (OpenSCAD)

Description: This is a fully customizable parametric OpenSCAD generator for a hypocycloid reducer. It is designed specifically for 3D printing and mechanical integration, allowing you to easily create compact and high-torque gear reductions.

Gear Ratio Calculation: Use the following formulas based on your Customizer inputs: Ratio = ((pins - 1) * (pins + pins_diff)) / -pins_diff

Fully Parametric: Easily adjust the number of pins, eccentricity, wall thicknesses, and shaft diameters using the Customizer.

3D Printing Optimized: Fine-tune clearances (tolerance, rotor_cover_gap, assemble_gap) to perfectly match your printer's capabilities. Toggle the disassemble checkbox to lay out all parts flat on the build plate for easy slicing and exporting.

Animation Ready: Turn off disassemble to preview the mechanical movement and gear meshing in real-time.

A customizable rotating handle has been added to the design, making manual operation and testing much easier without the need for external tools.
