Is your old Mauer iron mailbox rusty and outdated? This 3D-printed redesign brings the classic dimensions into the modern era with weather-resistant materials and a smart functional twist.
💡 The "Smart-View" Feature
The standout feature of this design is the left-side panel, designed to be printed in Transparent PETG.
Why the left side? Because when I walk out of my front door, this is the side facing me. A quick glance is all I need to see if the mail has arrived—no keys or opening the hatch required!

- Weatherproof & Durable: Designed to be printed entirely in PETG for high UV and temperature resistance (tested for outdoor use).
- Fully Customizable Door: The front panel is a "blank canvas" in Bambu Studio. Use the Text Tool to add your Name, Street Number, or Logo with ease.
- Universal Mounting: The flat backplate allows for multiple installation methods:
- Mechanical: Drill holes for screws and wall plugs.
- Adhesive: Use silicone, mounting glue, or heavy-duty double-sided tape (e.g., 3M VHB) for a no-drill setup.

- Lock Compatibility: Designed to fit standard cam locks (the same ones found on original iron mailboxes).
- Supports: Minimal supports needed for the top mail slot depending on your printer's bridging capabilities.
🎨 How to Customize in Bambu Studio
- Select the Door object.
- Click the "T" (Text) icon in the top toolbar.
- Type your name/address, pick a font, and place it on the door.
- Push the text inward (0.6mm - 1.0mm) for an engraved look, or leave it slightly raised for a multi-color print if you have an AMS.
