Description

Important Note for Success: To ensure the screw mechanism works smoothly, please print the parts with a lower layer height (0.12mm or 0.16mm is recommended). A smaller layer height provides better resolution for the threads, allowing them to glide perfectly without binding.

Overview

Keep your buildplate spotless and your first layers perfect! This Buildplate Cleaner is a compact, 3D-printable tool designed to hold a piece of scrubbing sponge or microfiber cloth. It makes degreasing your heatbed with dish soap and water (or IPA) much easier and keeps your hands clean in the process.

No more uneven pressure or struggling to hold a small piece of sponge. This ergonomic handle ensures a deep clean, reaching every corner of your buildplate to guarantee maximum adhesion for your prints.

 Assembly Instructions

  1. Print all 4 components (Handle/Knob, Top Plate, Bottom Plate, and Retaining Ring).
  2. Cut a piece of cleaning sponge or microfiber cloth slightly larger than the base.
  3. Place the sponge over the bottom plate and secure it using the retaining ring/plates.
  4. Screw the top handle in to tighten the assembly.
  5. Wash your buildplate with warm water and dish soap using the tool!

    Print Settings
  • Material: PLA, PETG or ASA.
  • Infill: 15-20% (Grid or Gyroid).
  • Walls: 3 perimeters for strength.
  • Supports: Not required.
