Hatching aid, Brood ring

This is my first self-created 3D printing project designed with CAD. Although I have little to no experience in drawing and 3D printing, I wanted to take on this challenge.

As I will be hatching eggs again with an incubator in spring, I need a hatching aid to achieve an even better result than with my previous makeshift solutions. Therefore, I set myself the goal of designing a hatching ring myself and making the model available online.

The resulting model is freely scalable and can be adapted to various egg sizes. It also uses very little filament and is still sturdy enough for incubation.

The hatching aid for artificial incubation serves to stabilize the egg during the hatching process and prevent it from rolling away. This provides the chick with a secure hold and allows hatching to occur in a more controlled and gentler manner.
