Description

This is an updated version of a previous model. This version is meant to be mounted on a ¾" PVC pipe (27mm outer diameter) or broom stick which allows you to determine the length. The Bambu RGBW puck light fits perfectly in the base. The lower cone locks in place with a twist lock which allows you to easily remove the puck light. The ring that goes over the top of the sphere can also be easily removed. The only parts that require support are the lower cone and the upper ring. The hex base and the sphere print fine for me with no support. I used fuzzy skin on the sphere to provide more diffusion for the led. I also used fuzzy skin on the “splotches” on the lower cone and hex base because I thought it looked more organic that way.

Here are the fuzzy settings for both the sphere and the splotches that I used. These settings take longer as it is a bit more visible so you can use the default settings if you want to save a little time.

Fuzzy skin point distance = .5mm

Fuzzy skin thickness = .5mm

NOTE: the fuzzy texture on the sphere, lower cone and hex base will not be visible until you slice them.

Model is 4 pieces

The Bambu RGBW puck light fits in the base. You can put the light in from the top or unscrew the lower cone and put it in from below. Fuzzy skin on the sphere makes a great diffuser for the led.

The upper ring has tubes that slide over the cylinders on the side of the hex base

With the led on and set to white. In real life the sphere looks much more orange than what you see here in the photo.

Print it in black for a more natural Wizard look.

Have fun!
