Description

These are a set of two Jim Henson-style practice eyes for practicing puppetry. Simply place onto your middle finger so they eyes sit on top of your fingers and start making your hand talk.

To assemble, insert the pegs, and press the two halves together. You may need to sand the pegs down a little to get a tight fit, and some glue on the ring-piece will help. Then glue in the pupils.

Finishing with some sanding and gloss varnish will make these really pop.

Things to think about when using these:

  • Where are the eyes focussed?
  • What is the character's intention?
  • What is the character feeling?
  • Try to only move your thumb, not the top of your hand.
  • Try to keep the eyes still.
  • Count to 20, and open the mouth for each syllable. (7 has two syllables!)

This video is a great introduction on how to use these:
