Description

I found this beautiful model on Thingverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3577804) and thought I'd share the print profile with you all, adapted and optimized for Makerworld.

After several attempts (and pounds of filament), I found the settings I think are optimal. This orientation results in more waste material from the supports, but also significantly higher quality. To achieve the best possible quality, I then positioned the chin of the mask high and adjusted various parameters. This way, the construction lines are not in the visible part of the mask, but under the chin, so they are hidden once the mask is put on.

The mask teeth need to be printed separately and then easily attached to the mask with a small drop of glue (I personally recommend gel glue). Printing the teeth on a separate plate allows you to choose a different color and maintain high quality. I think 5 teeth are enough, but print as many as you like (you can easily adjust the number of teeth directly from Bambu Handy). Remove the teeth from the plate only once the plate is completely cool to avoid breaking them!

The model already has two holes for attaching a thread/ribbon. With the default print settings, this part is sturdy enough to use the mask without breaking it.

The print takes a while and requires a fair amount of material, but it's worth it!

To avoid failures, I strongly recommend cleaning the print bed thoroughly.

To add your own personalization, you can easily color the mask after printing it. I used water-based markers, and they worked great!

Thanks to the original designer, GeeksWoodShop (https://www.instructables.com/member/geekswoodshop/), for creating this beautiful model! Be sure to check out his profile for other interesting models!
