Bill of Materials
Description
This precision pendulum is designed for physics experiments and accurate time measurement. The assembly uses a ball bearing pivot and standard screws for a low-friction, repeatable swing. When finely tuned and properly leveled, the pendulum’s period can be measured with accuracy up to 0.01 s, making it ideal for classroom demonstrations, lab setups, or hobby experiments in motion and gravity.
The model includes mounting points for bearings and hardware, with easily printable parts that require minimal post-processing.
Recommended hardware:
- 1 608 ball bearing
- M2 screws and nuts for the bearing mount OR zip-ties for bearing mounting
- M2 or M3 screws and nuts to assemble the top and bottom pendulum
- Clamp or adhesive to keep the pendulum on its resting surface
