Description

I store my partially used filament spools in airtight storage containers. I add loose silica gel beads to the storage containers as a desiccant.

Since the beads are often statically charged and tend to break into small crumbs, the beads and the broken pieces tend to stick to the filament spools or, even worse, to the filament itself. To prevent this, I designed this bottom grid for my drying boxes.

This keeps the rolls stable in the box and prevents them from coming into direct contact with the desiccant.

The grid has dimensions of 198 x 71 x 25 mm at its outermost points and fits perfectly into my drying boxes.

The drying boxes I use can be found at major online retailers under the keyword “YASHE 6-piece storage container set 3.7L.”

My print settings:

Material: PLA

Support: no

Brim: if necessary

Profile: 0.24 mm Draft @BBL X1C

Printing tip:

Since the first layer is only a narrow line, a brim should be used if there are bed adhesion problems.
