Window Wedge – Simple, Secure Ventilation
The Window Wedge is a compact, purpose-designed prop for awning-style windows. Originally created to stop light breezes from closing my own window, this sturdy little tool keeps your space ventilated without the hassle of constantly re-opening the sash.
It works by slipping snugly into place behind the opening arm, holding the window ajar at a fixed angle. While it was tailored to fit my specific window’s geometry, it should work well with many other awning windows. Just note: the angle of the wedge might not perfectly match every setup, but it's often close enough for reliable use.
Pro tip: The higher up you place the wedge on the window arm, the more open the window will stay — great for adjusting airflow on the fly.
Lightweight, strong, and easy to install or remove, the Window Wedge is a no-fuss fix for quiet ventilation.
A Quick Note
Each model is tested before sharing, but every printer is a little different — sometimes a small tweak is all it takes for a perfect print. If you run into trouble, try:
- Giving your build plate a good clean
- Rechecking bed leveling or Z-offset
- Slowing down the first few layers
- Using a brim or raft for extra grip
