This is a hand-cranked spreader for various applications This spreader makes lawn care or dispensing grains for animals child's play. The robust container can be easily filled through the large opening and holds over 5 liters of spreading material for various uses. Yes, despite its impressive size (250x200x220 mm), it is actually printed! All parts are easy to print. Only the drive shaft, which connects the drive unit to the spreader wheel, requires support so that it does not tip during printing. This support is already included in the print file and should under no circumstances be removed.

This spreader requires 4 ball bearings of the following size:

• Outer diameter 12 mm
• Inner diameter 8 mm
• Width 3.5 mm

Such ball bearings can be found in the Bambu Store under Maker's Supply (see bill of materials) under the number MR128ZZ - EA004, but they can also be purchased in other shops

Spreader (for use with BOSCH Isio Grass Shears)

Returning to this manual spreader. It is driven by a crank and a gear mechanism. Each turn of the crank is translated into a threefold rotation of the spreader wheel. The gear mechanism is located in the handle and is easy to assemble. The spreader has a regulator that is closed during filling of the container. Before spreading, it is opened with the lever just enough so that the spreading material can flow smoothly onto the distribution wheel. The drive shaft, with its corrugated shape at the bottom end, helps prevent the spreading material from getting stuck

The spreader is versatile and can be used for the following spreading materials:

• Fertilizer
• Seeds and sowing material
• Dry sand

Important findings on the application of de-icing salt: Some users have had no success spreading de-icing salt. Breakage occurred in the drive unit. The salt tends to clump because it absorbs a lot of humidity. The spreader is unsuitable for moist and clumpy spreading material. It is also possible that different types of de-icing salt are sold depending on the country. I personally had no problems as I was able to spread relatively dry and free-flowing salt. It is essential to ensure that the salt is stored dry and protected from humidity

Assembly

The assembly of the spreader should be carried out using the instructions. All parts are designed to be snapped together until they firmly lock. Apart from the 4 ball bearings, no tools such as adhesives or screws are required

Note: Pressing the base and the regulator together requires some force, but this ensures that the parts hold well later. The two side inserts with the bearings for the crankshaft must be pressed flush with the container. To apply the necessary pressing force, a hard object (wood, table edge, etc.) can be helpful for pressing
