Description

Video of sinking: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xE9apFriYEGx2bwUoxXWxupXZn7fo22P/view?usp=sharing

This model is a ship designed to sink front-first. Its unique bulkhead design allows each compartment to slowly fill up and spill over into the next compartment, allowing this ship to sink slowly and realistically. There is also a floating, non-sinking model

Assembly Instructions (Sinking Model)

Glue the hull segments together

Glue the deck segments together

Allow the glue to cure

Place a piece of tape on the outside hole in the front of the hull

Place the hull in the pool or bathtub

Add ballast (lead weights, BBs, or rocks) until the boat sits level in the water, and the water line is where the red transitions into black.

Secure the ballast with hot glue

Glue the deck onto the hull

Place the lifeboats in their cradles (they will float off when the boat is sinking)

You may also secure the lifeboats in if you wish

After all the glue cures, place the boat in the water, and watch as it slowly sinks!
