Description
Every Potterheads must have.
Clankers are metal rattles used by goblins in Gringotts Bank to control the dragon guarding the deep vaults.
They consist of several interconnected metal discs or chains that produce a loud, metallic, resonating sound when shaken. The dragon had been long abused to associate this sound with pain, instinctively submitting to it. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, goblin Griphook uses Clankers to force the dragon to retreat as Harry, Ron, and Hermione break into Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault. Later, the trio decides to free the dragon and escape Gringotts on its back.
