Description

This is a modular sharpening stone guide, to make sharpening knives easily. It currently only comes in two sizes:

  • 6"x2"x0.8"
  • 180x60x30mm

Why those sizes you ask? Because, that's the size of the sharpening stones that I currently have and use. I'd be more than happy to provide other sizes, just send me a message with the exact measurements of the stone(s) you use.

In addition, I'm including both the Fusion360 file, as well as a .step file.

Content

In each of the folders, there's a number of files:

  • Body.stl - This is the main body, holding the stone. Must print.
  • deg.stl - The various degree guide blocks. Print the ones you need.
  • Plug.stl - An optional print for the guide blocks, can be printed in TPU to give some anti-slip support for the jig.
  • Spacer.stl - These are optional spacers for the three sides inside the body. These can be used (and scaled) easily to make slight adjustments to the jig, or when your stone has been worn enough, put in a Bottom Spacer.stl to raise the stone accordingly.

Printing

Printing is straight forward, and nothing should require supports! I've carefully arranged for joints to be support free as well.
