I started 3D printing at the beginning of the pandemic (BIBO2). My first design and print was a toilet paper roll adapter so I could use the large commercial size rolls since those were the only reasonably priced rolls I could find. It still works perfectly and stuck to the larger rolls because they are still cheaper. I mainly print functional parts with an occasional gift here and there. While my BIBO is running just fine, I decided to splurge and get an X1C\AMS. Mostly for the ease of use and the ability to send files right from Makerworld plus it is awesome with no manual filament swaps.
