Glow-finity – My #KitChallenge Creation Model Link HereThis model was created in collaboration with the Idea Creator @AnimeLover707 during Round 2 of the Kit ChallengeDesign ProcessThe biggest goal was making the system:Fully modularEasy to printCompatible with standard GridfinityExpandable infinitelyCleanly illuminated without seeing too much messy wiringThe design uses:A bottom plate with built-in LED routing channelsA snap-on top grid sectionConnector clips so multiple plates can join togetherThe LED strip routes through channels underneath the grid, allowing the light to diffuse evenly through the translucent material and still remaining strong.Assembly StepsAssembly is pretty simple:Print the bottom and top sectionsStick the S-shaped LED strip into the lower channelsSnap the top grid plate into placeConnect multiple plates together with clipsAdd Gridfinity bins and accessoriesThat’s it!Challenges EncounteredOne of the biggest challenges was balancing:Structural strengthGood light diffusionSnap-fit tolerancesLED visibilityToo much thickness blocked the light, but making it too thin weakened the structure. I also had to experiment with different connection methods but i finally decided on standard clips Another challenge was designing the clips so the plates stayed aligned while still being easy to separate and expand later.Final ResultsI’m really happy with how it turned out. The finished setup works both as a practical organizer and as ambient desk lighting. It looks especially cool with animated RGB effects running through the system.Because the plates snap together, you can keep expanding the setup however you want and create a completely custom glowing workspace.

The creation of The Finger Chopper!Making a Mini Finger Chopper for the Magic Trick ContestI was trying to come up with a model idea for the Magic Trick Contest, but I was having a hard time. After doing some research, I found a classic arm chopper trick online. I thought about making it, but it would’ve taken way too much filament and time to print.That’s when I got the idea to make a smaller version just for fingers.Designing the ModelI started by sketching out the full-size arm chopper and then scaled it down to finger size. Once I had the proportions right, I worked on the blade and sliding mechanism, making sure everything would move smoothly.To hold the pieces together, I also designed some simple bolts that could be printed quickly.Testing and Final TouchesAfter a few test prints and small changes, everything finally fit and worked the way I wanted.And that’s how I made the Mini Finger Chopper—a fun little model for the contest that’s simple, clean, and easy to print.
