The time has finally come that I can release my new Ultimate Smart Home Sensor. It took me over a year refining this case, the components to choose and the software. But now I am finally happy with everything and proudly present to you all the opportunity to build your own. I created a comprehensive instruction manual so everyone can build it. You only need soldering skills, a couple of hours of your time and about 60-70€ for the components.

When I started building my smart home, I realized that most devices only cover very specific use cases. To get full functionality in each room, you usually need to buy multiple different devices.
My goal with this project was to create the ultimate DIY smart home sensor device that integrates all the essential sensors. This is the second iteration of the design which improves on a lot of things. Including different esp32 variants.

2x4x5 gridfinity bin for storing 3x3.5" and 1x2.5" hard drives. Includes a top piece for stacking more gridfinity bins!
This is a remix of a model by @thestevemarshall at https://www.printables.com/model/598975-gridfinity-35-hdd-storage/ with wider tolerances on each bay. Also I added a 2.5" slot in the remaining space. Same changes were made to the optional lid for stacking.

Printed for a friend. So I can not test it. But printed really great. I used Kingroon PETG as filament and used 5 walls and 30% Gyroid infill for strength.

I had to add a brim to get them to print. Had 2 failed prints before. Unfortunately they don't fit the Bambu oil tube, so I am currently not able to use them. Maybe I will buy a tube of super lube in the future. Printed in Bambu PETG HF.
