Welcome designers and makers I have designed a range of star knobs for bolts and nuts, encompassing sizes from M4 to M8 and various lengths

 

Extensive testing with diverse bolt and nut head diameters has yielded optimal tolerances for both components


The bolt or nut can be inserted into the star grip with gentle pressure, subsequently secured with the end cap
Should the screw or nut thread become worn, the end cap can be removed by tapping out the fastener, enabling effortless replacement

 

Two length variations are available


- Short star knob
- Long star knob

 

PLA filament is recommended for printing the star knob, although any rigid filament should provide equally satisfactory results
