Description

This is a streamlined A1 AMS Lite drying box solution. It can be assembled by drilling a few holes into an IKEA Samla 22L container and using the original A1 screws.

After three weeks of practical use, it's running smoothly without any issues.

Add a desiccant and it's ready for use. Humidity can be as low as around 15%.

Dismantling AMS is not difficult, just unscrew a few screws. You can refer to the following wiki for guidance.

You can choose any IKEA Samla drying box solution for modification. I recommend these models because A1 can independently complete them.

I printed all the pieces and they came out perfectly. The only piece with problems is the little box for the circuit board, the lid doesn't fit perfectly and won't let me close it.

Great and helpful model. Print on A1 mini. Had some fails through printing but not by model reason. Need to see calibration settings on my printer.

what happens to the retract mechanism? the spool holder of the ams lite do have this spring thing that thy rewind a little bit. isn't that necessary?

I abandoned this feature because the retraction distance of A1 is very short, so it doesn't affect the normal operation of AMS. Moreover, the rotating shaft sometimes causes insufficient gripping force for AMS.

This configuration is designed for easy printing and assembly. Perhaps in the future, I may add the rotating shaft feature. However, that should be for V2. I already have some ideas.
