Fastener Sizing Tool

During printer assembly, modifications, and woodworking, fasteners tend to scatter, so a gauge for quick measurement without calipers became necessary. May this be handy for others.

Print instructions

Sliced in Cura using standard PLA settings with ESun PLA Pro Plus (which yields good results), 0.3 mm layer height, nozzle 210 C, bed 40 C but heat switched off after 4 layers. For accuracy, particularly with holes, print inner perimeters first then outer last to prevent inner extrusion from distorting the outer.
If your printer is not perfectly calibrated and measurements are slightly off, adjust the model scale to, for example, 101 % or 99.9 %this often helps achieve more accurate results.
Note: for bolts, size excludes the head, but for countersunk screws it is measured end to end.
