First Shape Sorting Toy:

First Shape Sorting Toy is a simple educational puzzle designed for babies and toddlers who are starting to explore basic shapes, colors and hand-eye coordination.

The toy includes a base and three removable pieces: a red circle, a yellow square and a green triangle. Each shape has a large rounded knob, making it easier for small hands to grab, lift and place the pieces.

The base has a wood-style surface texture to give the toy a warmer and more natural look. This textured version can make the puzzle slightly more challenging, because when a baby drags the pieces across the surface, the bottom of the pieces may catch a little on the texture.

For an easier version, especially for younger babies, I have also included a smooth base version. If you want the pieces to slide more easily into place, use the smooth base instead of the textured one.

Although I designed this toy for my own child, this is not a certified, tested or officially approved children’s product. Each maker is fully responsible for how they print it and use it.

Safety recommendations:
- Always supervise children during use.
- Print the parts with strong settings.
- Check that the knobs are firmly attached.
- Remove any sharp edges before use.
- Regularly inspect the toy for loose, sharp or broken pieces.
- Make sure the printed parts are large enough and cannot be swallowed.
