Description
Hey everyone! If you're looking for an auto egg collector, I made one that works great for egg-scattering fish like CPDs.
How it works:
- Connect an airline tube to the uplift tube.
- Run the airline tube to a breeder box (such as a Fluval breeder box).
- The second uplift can be connected to my fry tray, which is available for download.
Printing recommendations:
- PLA: Use 100% infill (or enough infill to make the print dense) so it doesn't float. If it does float, you can weigh it down with driftwood or another object.
- PETG: I recommend 75% infill, but 100% works too if you want to be safe. Adjust based on your experience with PETG.
Collector dimensions:
- 6" L × 6" W × 3.5" H
Tubing size:
- Silicone tubing: 1/4" ID × 3/8" OD
This auto egg collector has been working amazingly for my CPDs and makes collecting eggs much easier.
