Description
𧊠COMPONENTS OF THE BENCHMARK â ACCURATE EXPLANATION
đ THE SPIKES
Vertical needles that test whether the printer can print VERY small details.
â If they remain straight and sharp = stable printer
â If they bend or become rounded = vibration or precision problem
đ THE ANGLED OVERHANGS
First overhang: 5°, 15°, 25°, 35°, 45°, 55°, 65°, 75°
Second overhang: 10°, 20°, 30°, 40°, 50°, 60°, 70°, 80°
They test how well the filament can hold its shape without supports at different angles.
⥠When an overhang starts to collapse or ripple = that is the limit of your printer
⨠If it stays perfect = the printer can go even further
âď¸ THE FOUR CALIBRATABLE FEET
These are the parts you can rotate labeled 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1.
They test the printerâs tolerance.
â If a foot does NOT move = the printer is precise at that level
â If it moves easily = it cannot reach that level of precision
đ THE SMALL CYLINDERS AND THE LABELS
The labels (20.5, 15.5, 10.5, 5.5) indicate the intended size of the cylinders.
â If the cylinder matches the exact size = dimensional accuracy is correct
â If it is larger or smaller = calibration issue
