Add a helping hand to your day to day routine with the Backpack Buddy!

The Backpack Buddy is a simple gadget that clips right onto the shoulder strap of your backpack; allowing you easily carry a second bag without it slipping off.

There are 2 different designs for the Backpack Buddy, an offset version and an edge version. The offset one will allow the second strap to sit more centered on your backpack allowing for more comfort.

It can accommodate any kind of strap because this model is parametric! Using the parameters shown below, you can make the Backpack Buddy fit just right and handle any kind of bag you have.

Material & Printing

This was tested with PLA+ and 95A TPU and both were very successful. I recommend using TPU as the flexibility makes it more comfortable while still being very durable. TPU 95A printed with 3 walls and 20% infill held up very well to a bag with a 15lb bowling ball. 

It prints quick and easy on its side with no need for support 

Note that the attached print profile has a specific Backpack Buddy config. Configure the model to your exact needs before printing.
