Description
Retro-Tech ESP32 LED Matrix Clock Enclosure
A sleek, minimalist Retro-Tech smart clock enclosure designed to elevate your desk setup. Featuring smooth rounded corners and a clean back cover, this design is fully optimized for easy 3D printing with absolutely zero supports required.
đ ď¸ Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Microcontroller: ESP32 (or ESP8266).
- Display: WS2812B LED Matrix panel.
- Diffuser: A dark-tinted acrylic (mica) sheet or matte film, cut to fit the front inner slot. This diffuses the bright LEDs, making the digital digits look incredibly crisp, sharp, and premium.
- Screws: 4x small self-tapping screws (M2 or M3 depending on your print scale) to secure the back cover.
đ¨ď¸ Recommended Print Settings
- Printer: Compatible with any FDM printer (tested and fits perfectly on Bambu Lab printers).
- Filament: PLA Matte Black is highly recommended to get that clean, high-end, non-reflective finish.
- Infill: 15% (Gyroid or Grid).
- Supports: None (The overhangs and bridges are optimized to print cleanly without any support material).
- Orientation: Place the front face of the enclosure flat on the build plate for the smoothest and cleanest front finish (textured PEI plate works great here!).
Happy printing! If you enjoy this design, please drop a like, collect it, and share a photo of your finished build in the comments!
