Pharmaceutical Capsules Earrings

A pair of earrings inspired by real pharmaceutical capsules.

This model is designed to match the proportions of actual capsules. If you prefer a flatter and more stylized version, you can check out my alternate model here.

Bill of Materials

You will need:

• Earring hooks
• Eye pins for earrings (0.6 mm diameter, 20 mm length or more)
• A small amount of glue

The glue is required to secure both halves of the capsules and to ensure the eye pins stay firmly in place.

Instructions

Each earring consists of:

• 1 half capsule with a pass-through hole
• 1 half capsule with a closed end
• 1 eye pin
• 1 earring hook

Glue both halves of the capsule together, using the eye pin as a guide to align them.
Let the glue dry before attaching the hook.

You can use longer eye pins if you want a more dangling effect.

Printing recommandations

• Use a 0.2 mm or 0.4 mm nozzle with the Arachne wall generator enabled in your slicer for the best results.
• Print on a smooth build plate (smooth PEI or similar).
• If you experience adhesion issues, make sure your build plate is thoroughly cleaned.

Coloring recommandations

You can print the capsule twice with swapped colors to create alternating pairs.
