A reclusive fellow known to everyone as "the Grinch" lived on a mountaintop, at the foot of which lay a town as beautiful as gingerbread, Whoville. While Whoville joyfully prepared for Christmas, the Grinch planned to ruin everyone's holiday. Due to childhood trauma, the Grinch hated Christmas. He devised a plan: he would disguise himself as Santa Claus with his dog, Max, and an overweight reindeer named Fred, to steal all the town's Christmas presents, food, and decorations
The Grinch wasn't naturally mischievous; it was because people around him mocked him, which made him increasingly reclusive, eventually leading him to try and steal Christmas from the townspeople. The Grinch caused trouble everywhere, believing that by stealing Christmas, he could steal the townspeople's joy, but that wasn't the outcome
