[ Suggested Print Setup ]
Nozzle: 0.4mm (recommended 0.2mm nozzle or Resin Print)
Layer Height: 0.12mm ( You can adjust the layer height based on how much detail you want )
Infill: 30% or more for nice weight
Wall loops: 3
Supports: Tree (auto)
Printed with: Bambu Lab PLA Matte Charcoal - Painted with Metallic Paint

As always!
The key to printing my figurines is having good adhesion to the build plate. I use CryoGrip Pro Frostbite for printing, which provides excellent grip, ensuring that every figurine prints successfully every time. I mainly use filaments from Bambu and have no issues with them either. If you have a different setup, make sure to focus on build plate adhesion, use high-quality dry filament, and everything should be fine.

Is there a reason why derivative works are not allowed? I created a full chess set that includes these pieces with some modifications, case for the pieces, board, and a box. But MW doesn't allow me to upload it because when I try to mark this project as source, it says derivative works are not allowed.

Hello, the box is not uploaded because I first need @29flo , the creator of these chess pieces, to change licence into one that allows remixes. I cannot upload just the box since I did some chess piece resizing and they need to match the box exactly.

These printed out great! I remixed the Knight, to give it a bigger base.

Would you be willing to share your remix? I think the knight looks awesome with the bigger base!

Would you mind providing us your support settings? It looks like the supports removed very well from these. Thanks!

Need help, all figures are printed perfectly, only the Knight (Horse) is always coming out with bad noise, that is falling out.

Same issue with me printing with .2mm nozzle at .08 layer height. Tried slowing printing down. Tried stronger supports. Always fails at the nose though

I can never seem to dial in support settings with a .2 nozzle. I tend to get worse "noise" with it. I'm also attempting to figure out the support settings for best results on .4 nozzle. I've printed with both .2 and .4 on the pieces. From what I've seen, there is very little gained from a .2 nozzle, mostly because the support removal, are very difficult to completely remove without scarring. I've added some photos to try and demonstrate some differences (or lack of them). 1-2 Kings: .2 Nozzle-.08 Layer Height-No Supports(Left) and Profile Defined Tree Supports(Right)-Bambu Silver PLA Basic 2-Bishop: .4 Nozzle-.12 Layer Height-No Supports-Overture Matte Black PLA 3-King: .2 Nozzle-.08 Layer Height-No Supports-Bambu Silver PLA Basic 4- King: .2 Nozzle-.08 Layer Height-Profile Defined Tree Supports-Bambu Silver PLA Basic 5- Queen: .4 Nozzle-.12 Layer Height-Tree Supports with PETG Interface-Overture Matte Black PLA 6- Rook: .4 Nozzle-.12 Layer Height-No Supports-Overture Matte Black PLA

Thank you so much for this amazing model. this was super easy to print and I really enjoyed painting each and everyone with metallic marker. I also bought an xl board for the correct scale because the peices are a little bigger than average. this project easily deserves five stars and a boost

silly question but how did you print all a the chess pawns without doubling up on the other pieces (very new here)

if you have Bambu studio you can open the project there and copy, delete, and paste the individual pieces.

Great design. Prints just fine with .4 nozzle. Wife is super excited for the set to be complete, once the painting is completed.

I used a black base primer and then utilized a two tone with “glitter” - I think it was Crylon brand. can’t remember off top of mind.

Nice chess set! Printed out nicely except for the knights, which I had to print a few more time to get a successful print. Outside of that everything else printed on the first try on the H2C. In addition I printed out the modular chess board, and a case that I designed, that stores everything. Will be a nice Birthday present for my grandson. The chess pieces were finished with Gold and Silver Leaf Rub n Buff.

Absolutely love these! They print out great on 0.2 nozzle One small request would be to flare the bottom of the Knite like the other models. It’s the only model that does not have a large footprint/flare at the bottom. When printing at 60% of the original size to fit a smaller chess board the knite’s topple over easily with their narrow bottom.

@29flo I double this. IF you are a serious player, the Knight is a little bit unstable with that smaller bottom. It would be great to redesign it, and enlarge the bottom to match the bottom size of the others, ar least the bisshop base. Thank you very much!!! (If you do it, I will definetly give you 2 other boosts ;) ) THANKS!!!

I made this set for my dad's 70th just a few days ago he absolutely loved it 😊 thank you soooooooo much for such an amazing set. it is absolutely fabulous and once I have some boosts I will certainly find you and boost you for sure it is well and truly deserved. "although my dads only suggestion is that the Knight needs to be smaller than the bishops"
