SD / microSD card holder description
This holder was designed in the form of a Mac OS folder, while being as compact as a bank card. It’s an ironic wink: a physical box for memory cards taking the form of a digital folder.

Two versions of the model have been created:

  • Version 1: includes 6 slots for SD cards.
  • Version 2: includes 4 slots for SD cards and 6 for microSD cards.

Assembly:
The assembly provides for a printer pause at the 16th layer, in order to place the magnets.

  • On the largest plate, the magnets must be oriented towards the South Pole.
  • On the smallest plate, the magnets must be oriented towards the North Pole.

Hinge:
For the hinge, I used a steel nail (diameter: 1.1 mm, length: 20 mm) at each end. I cut off the heads of the nails and inserted them to the bottom. The hole provided is 1.2 mm in diameter (you can also use a thin metal rod).

Necessary materials:

  • Magnets: 3 mm diameter, 2.7 mm height – Quantity 4
  • Filament: white PLA
  • Metal rod or nail:  maximum diameter 1.10 mm
