Spool Storage Container

I came up with this spool reuse storage system with various inserts for different storage options. This was modeled to fit an Elegoo inner spool (88.5mm OD, 82.1mm ID, 3.2mm wall thickness). I also tried it with an eSun spool but had to trim away of the edges a bit to get it to fit. So, it is doable with other brands, you may just need to do a little extra work. Designed to be able to stack if desired, just make sure to select the correct bottom cap. The clearance for the handle is already modeled in on that one. The other bottom cap is just flat but saves a bit of space, time, and material.

Bottom cap slips on the bottom, slip in chosen insert (or can be used without insert), top cap slips on the top, screw caps screws onto the top cap.

When printing, the stackable bottom cap should have support. The 3mf file includes this for that object only. You may be able to bridge it, but wanted to provide the best results for the most people. Supports not needed for any others.

Includes:

• Top cap (required)
• Screw cap (kind of required)
• Bottom cap (required); choose if you want to stack or not
• Choose insert: Magnets, AA, AAA, single, double, or quad compartment
  • Magnets fitted:
    • 2mm x4, 3mm x4, 4mm x4, 6mm x2, 8mm x2, 10mm x2, 12mm x2, 20mm x1
    • Need to print the sleeves if you want to use the magnets
    • Because magnets are so close together, they do behave strangely when inserted or removed
• Can make other inserts upon request
